During May 2010 David McNab and I installed a large Sol LeWitt drawing at Site Gallery, Sheffield to accompany an exhibition of the artist's publications.

The drawing - Number #960 - had been installed before and is held by the Estate Of LeWitt. The instruction for the piece was as follows:

A straight line about 18” (45.7 cm) long is drawn; from its midpoint, another line about 18” (45.7 cm) long; from the midpoint of each subsequent line, another line 18” (45.7 cm) long, uniformly dispersed covering the wall.

To the left are some illustrations of the installation, which was accompanied at times by some contemporary classical music.

Thanks to Harriet Davies for letting me use her shot of me up the scaffolding. Sadly the exhibition was only for three weeks and the drawing is long gone.

Since installing the piece, I have been making some work that takes LeWitt's Sentences On Conceptual Art as a starting point.
